Outdoor Living and Site Design in Denver
An outdoor space works best when the patio, lawn, deck, shade and drainage are planned together. We design the whole yard first, then build it in the right order.
Service scope
What's included
Every project and service request starts with a written scope, so you know what is included before work begins.
- Site walk and measurements
- Layout for patios, turf, decks and pergolas
- Grading and drainage planning
- Material and finish selection
- Lighting and power planning
- Phasing and budget options
Design for how you'll use the space
Where will you eat, sit in the shade, let the dog out or keep the grill? We start with how the space will be used, then size and place each element to fit.
Drainage comes first
Water has to go somewhere. Patios, turf and deck footings all depend on grading that moves water away from the house. Getting that right is the difference between an outdoor space that lasts and one that settles and floods.
Turn a concept into a buildable scope
Once the layout is set, we produce a scope and budget you can build all at once or in phases, without redoing work later.
Local knowledge
Designing for Colorado yards
Front Range clay soils swell and shrink with moisture, and freeze-thaw cycles move anything not built on a proper base. Strong sun at altitude fades and heats surfaces, and water-wise planting is increasingly expected. Many neighborhoods also have HOA design rules that need approval before work starts.

Questions
Questions and answers
Can we build in phases?
Yes. We design the full space and sequence it so each phase fits the next.
Do outdoor projects need permits?
Some do, especially decks, pergolas attached to the house and electrical work. We check with your jurisdiction.
Can you work with our HOA?
Yes. We prepare drawings and material information for architectural review submissions.
What does outdoor design cost?
It depends on scope. We give you a design scope and fee before starting.
